1984 was a quiet year for the SG-1000. Focus was quickly shifting to the MSX, which was attracting all the Japanese developers. Again it seemed most of the work supoprting the console was being done by Sega, though Compile also chose to support it. The SG-1000 II was released this year in an attempt to woo more developers.
