Herc's Adventures is a top-down action game for the Sega Saturn and PlayStation.

History

Coming from the same creators of earlier LucasArts game Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Mike Ebert and Dean Sharpe[2], it inherits a similar gameplay but its structure is more open world oriented. During development it was known as Myth Adventures.

The Sega Saturn version was released exclusively in North America. This version was once set for release in Japan under the name Hercules no Daibouken (ヘラクレスの大冒険) published by BPS, with a 1997-11-20 release date and a price tag of ¥5,800[3]. While the Japanese Sega Saturn release was scrapped for unknown reasons, the PlayStation port did make it to Japan with this title at a later date (1998-06-25).
