The Sega System 2 is an arcade platform introduced by Sega in 1985. It is a "successor" to the Sega System 1 though is in fact largely identical, utilising the same Z80 CPU and the same sound chips. The only major difference between the System 1 and the System 2 is the additon of a ROM board.

The System 2 was supported alongside the System 1, with its last game being released in 1988.
