Tokuhiko UwaboFrom Sega RetroTokuhiko Uwabo (上保 徳彦), born April 26, 1960, is one of the older sound members in Sega's history, more commonly known by his alias, Bo. He mainly dealt with sound porting during the Master System era and shifted to a more advisory role for the Mega Drive era. He also composed the music for the first two Phantasy Star titles.
Though Uwabo's last known game with Sega was Sonic 3 & Knuckles in 1994, he has stayed in touch with the company following its release. In 1995 he transferred to Sega of Europe's development team, residing in Richmond, London, England. In 1997, he returned to Sega of Japan, but quit sometime afterward. He then spent the next 10 years between some number of investment companies, including Venture Capital. In June 2007 he joined Winlight Co., Ltd., a mobile gaming company, and is still working there today as a director. Despite having left Sega (which was unofficially publicized as early as April 2006 via liner notes), he has provided liner notes for Wave Master's soundtrack releases of his compositions and, most recently, wrote the lyrics for "The Alex Kidd Song."
