Tyson Hesse is an American director, producer, and animator known for his work on the Sonic the Hedgehog series.[1]

Career
Hired in November 2016[1], Tyson Hesse has worked on both the Archie and IDW Sonic series, and has served as an animator and artist for the great majority of recent animated shorts produced by Sega of America. After spending a number of years animating for Sega, Hesse was also tasked with assisting production of the first feature Sonic the Hedgehog film, where he acted as a character designer and general consultant. Following the success of the first movie, Hesse assumed more direct production duties on the second film, serving as co-producer.[1]
Hesse currently serves as an animator with Sega of America, with his work frequently seeing him manage art direction, storyboarding, and even entire project planning and pipelining.[1] He is also a member of Sega's lore group for the Sonic series.[2]
