ASCII Grip X controller is a peripheral manufactured by ASCII for the Sega Saturn (with a similar peripheral appearing for the Sony PlayStation). It is an unusual device, in that it moves all the buttons from a standard Saturn Control Pad so that games can be played with only one hand.
The ASCII Grip X only works with adventure games or RPGs - games that do not require fast reactions or require multiple buttons to be pressed at once. It was not released outside of Japan.
