Heavyweight Champ (ヘビーウェイトチャンプ) is a boxing game released for the Sega System 16 arcade hardware in 1987. It was a remake of the 1976 arcade game Heavyweight Champ. The game was later ported to 8-bit consoles.
Gameplay
Heavyweight Champ is played from a first/third-person perspective, with the player's character visible as an outline on the screen. The controls are two special handles which allow the player to perform actual punching motions, which are translated into the game as attacks on the opponent.
