Sega did not support Bandai's WonderSwan handheld as much as they did with competitor Neo Geo Pocket, however Sega produced a port of Puyo Puyo Tsu in 1999. Despite Compile owning the property at the time, the game does not appear to credit them at all (TODO check the ending) and appears to have been developed by a team of longtime Sega contributors (if not by Sega employees).

In 2001, Bandai also released a port of Golden Axe to the system.

In 2004, Bandai was also set to release Haro Haro: Haro no Puyo Puyo, a Gundam-themed Puyo Puyo game. This appears to never have happened, though a similar product exists as the Game Boy Advance game Kidou Gekidan Haro Ichiza: Haro no Puyo Puyo.
