Classic Mega Drive was a budget label given to re-released Sega Mega Drive games in Europe. Its partners in crime were the Classic Master System and Classic Game Gear labels, given to re-released Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear games respectively. Some publishers such as Electronic Arts had their own budget label in place, in this case, EA Classics.
The requirements to receive this label are currently unknown.
