Double Dragon II: The Revenge (ダブルドラゴンII ザ・リベンジ) is a beat-'em-up developed and published by Technos in 1988 as a sequel to the original Double Dragon. Originally for the arcades, it was later ported to a variety of systems. PAL Soft ported the game to the Sega Mega Drive and released it exclusively in Japan in 1991. The NES version most gamers are familiar with is drastically different from the arcade version.

The Black Warriors shoot and kill Marian, who brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee saved from the same gang in the original Double Dragon, and now Billy and Jimmy are out for revenge. In one-player mode, you play as Billy; in two-player mode, player 1 controlls Billy and player 2 controls Jimmy simultaneously. A and C attack, with a different attack depending on in what direction you are facing and what is near you, and B jumps.
