From Sega Retro

This teeny-tiny article needs some work. You can help us by expanding it.

Ma-Ba (γƒžγƒΌγƒ) was a partnership formed by Mattel and Bandai in the mid-1980s to sell Barbie dolls in Japan after a falling-out between Mattel and Takara.

The name was later used by Bandai to publish several games for the Sega Mega Drive in Japan; why the name was used is unknown. All their games are ports of Bandai games.
