Shaq Fu Title.png
Shaq Fu is a fighting video game developed by Delphine Software for the Sega Mega Drive, Sega Game Gear, Game Boy, Super Nintendo and Commodore Amiga. It is a fighting game, starring basketball player Shaquille O'Neal as a playable character. Though it is often praised for its smooth graphics, the game has been the subject of ridicule for its nonsensical plot and bad controls. The Genesis version of Shaq Fu had exclusives that the Super NES version didn't have. This included 5 more characters, 3 new stages (The Lab, The Wasteland, and Yasko Mines), and North/South Gate accessibility without a cheat code. Nezu was also playable. Unfortunately the story mode was made shorter than the SNES counterpart. As a bonus, players can also walk down the stairs past Gargoyle's Peak and press start to fight a blue version of Beast. The Amiga port was based on the Genesis port, but had less music and background animation removed. The Game Gear version only has 6 selectable characters, no tournament mode, and no voices.
