Megadrive Emulator is a Sega Mega Drive emulator for DOS, developed by The Careless Gamer (]TcG[), Baalzamon/Baalzaman?, Berzerker and Stegg/Staag? from the 1990s IRC channel #snesemu.[3] It is the first known Mega Drive emulator, being released in 1994. Megadrive is rather buggy, with visual and scrolling issues, poor performance and lacks sound emulation. For its time it can be considered a technical achievement.

Development was stopped after the code was lost in a hard drive failure.
