Street Fighter: The Movie, known as Street Fighter: Real Battle on Film (ストリートファイター リアルバトル オン フィルム) in Japan, is a 1995 fighting game developed and published by Capcom for the Sega Saturn. A Sega 32X version was planned, but cancelled.

An oddball in the franchise, Street Fighter: The Movie ditches the cartoony style seen in Street Fighter games both before and since, using pre-rendered digitized graphics of characters from the unsuccessful Street Fighter movie, which in turn was based on the video game, Street Fighter II. It is one of the few instances of a video game based on a movie based on a video game. A similarly named game was released in arcades but was developed by another company and was much different.

In Europe, Street Fighter: The Movie was distributed in packaging similar to that of its North American counterpart - the only instance in the Saturn's library to opt for the elongated jewel case design rather than the bespoke Saturn cases seen with other software.

Gameplay

Gameplay isn't wildly different from other Street Fighter games (post Street Fighter II), there are three punch and three kick buttons. Combinations of buttons can be used to unleash special attacks. There is a Super Combo gauge which can be depleted by using certain Super Special moves and Super Moves. The Super Special moves are new to the series. When the Super Combo gauge is half full Super Special moves (moves performed by presing two attack moves while doing the motions of a special move) can be performed but will deplete the Super Combo gauge. When the Super Combo gauge is full Super Special moves will not deplete the bar. Also when the bar is full Super Moves can be done which require more complex button presses than either Special moves or Super Special moves. If the opponent is hit with a Super move at the end of the round the background will change to indicate it was used as the final move.

There are four game modes available. This includes the single player Movie Battle (Story Mode), Street Battle (Similar to arcade mode in Street Fighter II), Vs. Mode (2 Player Vs. Mode), and Trial Mode (Street Fighter II arcade mode variant).
