I Will: The Story of London

From Sega Retro

Bilingual

Note to self to eventually add to the article: the game is bilingual, with choices of either spoken English audio or dubbed Japanese audio. CartridgeCulture (talk) 23:09, 28 August 2021 (EDT)

CRC Research Institute (USA)?

CRC Research Institute (USA)? I've still been thinking about this... I wonder if CRC had a United States subsidiary (this was the mid '90s, a lot of smaller game devs were opening US branches), and they were the ones that filmed the live-action segments and tour of London? I can easily imagine them going on a trip to the UK to get footage. I'll have to do more research on this. Either that, OR the aforementioned Ludicine source was just marking the region next to the developer (maybe not knowing that CRC likely developed both JP and US versions.)

Anyway. I have a request! Personally, I'm very VERY bad at detecting fake accents. Would someone be able to watch a little of I Will: The Story of London and let me know if the main characters' accents are genuine? I'm really curious, and it'll tell us quite a lot about the development of this game. Thank you so much for any opinions! CartridgeCulture (talk) 23:09, 28 August 2021 (EDT)

These are British actors, though the term "actor" might be generous. I would guess a small UK crew were tasked with filming, and the Japanese wrote the original script.
p.s. I found the car. -Black Squirrel (talk) 06:43, 29 August 2021 (EDT)
Thank you so much again, this is good information. Looks like Ludicine just tagged the region next to the developer. And nice find on the car, it'll definitely help when this article gets expanded! :) CartridgeCulture (talk) 01:56, 30 August 2021 (EDT)
