Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure is an exclusive Sega Mega Drive game developed by Konami. It was the first Mega Drive game to use the Tiny Toon Adventures franchise by Warner Bros., following several others on the NES and Game Boy. It was not released in Japan, but it was released in South Korea, where it was called just Tiny Toons Adventures.
+
PAGENAME, known in South Korea as Tiny Toon Adventures, is a Sega Mega Drive platform game developed and published by Konami. Released worldwide in early 1993, the game is based on the 1990 television series Tiny Toon Adventures.

Buster's Hidden Treasure is a platformer heavily inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog. The player controls Buster Bunny who runs through several stages jumping on the heads of enemies.
+
Story
 +
Buster Bunny finds a treasure map in the attic of Acme Looniversity. Montana Max, determined to find the treasure himself, swipes the map from Buster. He enlists Dr. Gene Splicer, who uses a special mind control helmet to brainwash several of Buster's friends, and Elmyra Duff, who captures a few others, including Babs Bunny (no relation). Buster Bunny teams up with Gogo Dodo and others to help him rescue his friends and recover the treasure.

Gameplay
Gameplay
The game employs a one button control scheme. Enemies can be defeated by jumping on their head. Similar to Sonic, Buster Bunny continuously gets faster while running. Pushing down while running makes him perform a sliding attack, which also slows him down considerably. Small carrots serve as pickup items.
+
The game is a platformer played as Buster Bunny, somewhat resembling the Sonic the Hedgehog games because of its similarly speedy blue protagonist. Buster is moved with left and right and jumps with C. Buster immediately drops to the ground when the C button is released, so the length of the jump is dependent on how long the button is held. He defeats enemies by jumping on top of them. While running, he can perform a slide attack by pressing B. He can push some objects by moving into them. He can crawl by pressing downleft and downright, which is sometimes necessary to fit into enclosed spaces. He swims underwater with C. He can also can jump off walls by pressing in the direction of the wall and C, which helps him reach higher locations.
Stages can be selected in a Super Mario World fashion. In order to increase visual variety, many stages feature recolored tile sets.
+

 +
Buster gathers carrots and gets a special helper marker for collecting 50 carrots. Special helper markers can also be found in the levels. These allow Buster to call on a special helper with A to clear out all the enemies on the screen. The special helper is Concord Condor, Little Beeper, or Sneezer, depending on the level.
 +

 +
Buster starts the game with three points of health, indicated by hearts in the corner of the screen. He loses a life if he loses all three points. He can find items that increase his health up to five points, which lasts until he loses a life. Some hazards, such as falling on spikes or being crushed, instantly cost a life.
 +

 +
The game uses a map screen for selecting the next level. The progression of levels is strictly linear, with no branching, but the player can backtrack to replay previously completed levels. Each level ends when Buster finds Gogo Dodo and touches him. Some levels have multiple exits. There is a boss fight every few levels, usually against one of Buster's friends brainwashed by Splicer. These encounters are won by jumping on Splicer's head (rather than the mind controlled friend, who is wearing a spiked helmet that harms Buster).

Version differences
Items
The game is region locked, but content wise the various versions are identical. The PAL version plays at correct speed wheen booting in 50Hz mode, then switching to 60Hz after the Sega logo.

Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure, known in South Korea as Tiny Toon Adventures, is a Sega Mega Drive platform game developed and published by Konami. Released worldwide in early 1993, the game is based on the 1990 television series Tiny Toon Adventures.

Story

Buster Bunny finds a treasure map in the attic of Acme Looniversity. Montana Max, determined to find the treasure himself, swipes the map from Buster. He enlists Dr. Gene Splicer, who uses a special mind control helmet to brainwash several of Buster's friends, and Elmyra Duff, who captures a few others, including Babs Bunny (no relation). Buster Bunny teams up with Gogo Dodo and others to help him rescue his friends and recover the treasure.

Gameplay

The game is a platformer played as Buster Bunny, somewhat resembling the Sonic the Hedgehog games because of its similarly speedy blue protagonist. Buster is moved with Left and Right and jumps with C. Buster immediately drops to the ground when the C button is released, so the length of the jump is dependent on how long the button is held. He defeats enemies by jumping on top of them. While running, he can perform a slide attack by pressing B. He can push some objects by moving into them. He can crawl by pressing Down-left and Down-right, which is sometimes necessary to fit into enclosed spaces. He swims underwater with CCCCC. He can also can jump off walls by pressing in the direction of the wall and C, which helps him reach higher locations.

Buster starts the game with three points of health, indicated by hearts in the corner of the screen. He loses a life if he loses all three points. He can find items that increase his health up to five points, which lasts until he loses a life. Some hazards, such as falling on spikes or being crushed, instantly cost a life.
