From Sega Retro

Ay up,

Big thanks for uploading scans, but two things to bear in mind for the future:

a) With manuals we're aiming to avoid double-page spreads, i.e. each page of the PDF should only contain one page of the scan. There's a tool doing its rounds somewhere which will chop images in half to make this task easier - you might have to go hunting.

b) We're also aiming for files to follow our fairly loose naming scheme, which goes along the lines of "<name> <system> <region> <scantype (e.g. manual)> <other attributes>.filetype". The scope of Sega Retro is pretty big - "NFL Quaterback Club (1995)(J).jpg" isn't really sufficient because there are three Japanese versions of NFL Quarterback Club, and that title alone doesn't tell us it's the 32X version. NFLQuarterbackClub 32X JP Manual.pdf or words to that effect would be better.

But lovely stuff otherwise -13:00, 18 June 2014 (CDT)

Ok. I will remake all according to rules later.

Any tags for game maps? Like |map= i made on Sangokushi IV 32X Japan version.

P.S. I never edited wiki before.

Saturn screenshots

What emulator are you using to take these? I could be mistaken, but some of them look a bit squashed vertically. - Hivebrain (talk) 14:56, 4 July 2014 (CDT)

Yabause v0.9.13 with Window Resolution 320x224 (Most of games are Japan Releases). This resolution, because i saw some screens with it in wiki. Am i mistaken? -Depressor (talk) 15:04, 4 July 2014 (CDT)

Saturn games run at all sorts of resolutions. Maybe half actually do run at 320x224. I haven't used Yabause before, but there should be some sort of setting to have games run at the original unscaled resolution. I use SSF myself. - Hivebrain (talk) 15:53, 4 July 2014 (CDT)

OK. I'll try to change something -Depressor (talk) 16:27, 4 July 2014 (CDT)

these hints

If these recent uploads of yours are what I think they are, i.e. mail-order hints direct from Sega of America, they should be in galleries, not the scanbox template, because they were distributed separately.

ScanBox templates are exclusively for content which came with the game upon release. So if I walked into a shop in 1987 and bought a brand new Master System game, I'd be walking out with a box, a manual, a cartridge, maybe promotional stuff packed in, and not much else. That's all that should be housed in the template. -Black Squirrel (talk) 11:04, 9 July 2014 (CDT)

Ok. Fix it later. I didn't know about mail-ordering of this hints) -Depressor (talk) 11:41, 9 July 2014 (CDT)

Sega Power?

Hey, buddy. Got any Sega Power issues I'm yearning for?

Nope. -Depressor (talk) 11:51, 15 July 2014 (CDT)

PlayStation or mislabled?

Yes, PSX. Delete it. I got used to trust people from whom I take a material) Or maybe it was too late at night.-Depressor (talk) 13:51, 2 August 2014 (CDT)

Which ones?

Do you mean the Australian manuals?

Since the manuals come in all sorts of weird shapes and sizes - fold outs, books and the like, I've been keeping the fold outs as-is because for some of them there's no good page numbering scheme, and making them page-by-page kind of removes that they were fold out in the first place.

I cant look now, i'm not home, but i think i cut some manuals you upload. BTTF3 i think. Its not so hard to understand numbering of pages. Anyway' thanks for your manuals. Can you make list of games, which manuals you want to scan? -Depressor (talk) 07:52, 8 September 2014 (CDT)

Raw scans

I'm slowly tracking stuff in my messy HD, so I'm finally uploading the raw scans of SMS BR manuals here for you (if the link doesn't work for some reason, lemme know). --AllisonKidd (talk) 17:26, 15 July 2015 (CDT)

Wow. Big Thanks. I'm now on vacation, but in a week i'll go home and start to renew my sets. Link is working. *Depressor (talk) 23:42, 15 July 2015 (CDT)
