William Charles “Bud” Thon is an American artist which created cover artwork for a handful of Sega Genesis games, including the American releases of Midnight Resistance, David Robinson's Supreme Court, and Rolo to the Rescue.[1]
Career
Thon began his game career in 1982, creating cover artwork for Atari, Inc., particularly 5200 games. Around 1991, he got in contact with Sega of America, with his first work being the Sega-published release of Midnight Resistance on the Genesis. In addition to games, he occasionally worked on other projects for Sega, such as a company Christmas card featuring Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles "Tails" Prower, or the cover art to the promotional VHS tape Championship Moments.[1]
