I stopped using thecoverproject.net for cover scans because they're not "real". They have a list of raw cover scans (which, if cropped are sometimes okay) which they then use to create "cleaner" covers like this one. That's why the gridlines are perfectly straight but the Mega Drive logo isn't. The screenshots are also taken from emulators.

The end result is very close to the real thing, but at heart they're still custom covers... so I dunno whether it's a good thing to have this cover on site - Black Squirrel 14:48, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

I personally do not care so long as they are near-accurate to the point where there is no discernible difference other than "obviously not a raw scan." - Scarred Sun 19:25, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
