START YOUR ENGINES ARCADE MOTORCYCLE RACING COMES TO SEGA SATURN WITH MANX TT SUPERBIKE

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- (June 29, 1997) --
Hang on for the ride of your life.
Sega® of America announced today the debut of their new Sega RacingTM title for Sega SaturnTM -- "Manx TT SuperBikeTM." The arcade hit is now available for Sega Saturn and will be available for the PC this October.

Sega Racing prides itself on creating the most realistic racing action possible. "Manx TT SuperBike," was created using more than 5,000 photos and sound effects recorded live from the real race -- it's as close to the real thing as you can get. Sega game designers used that information, along with state-of-the-art 3D graphics and CD-quality sound, to create a racing experience like none other.

"Manx TT SuperBike," a high-speed adventure is guaranteed to challenge even the most thrill-seeking of dare-devils. Based on the internationally-acclaimed Manx Tourist Trophy Race, which occurs annually on the Isle of Man, players race against the world's top riders on specially-built, high-performance cycles that speed through a notoriously rugged route around ancient townships and perilous mountains. Real-time texture-mapped graphics, powerful arcade sound, four race courses and eight custom built cycles make this the most realistic motorcycle racing title ever to hit the Sega Saturn.

"The directive at Sega Racing is to make the games real, whatever it takes," said Bernard Stolar, chief operating officer, Sega of America. "The research that went into the creation of the game shows our dedication to the racing experience and, ultimately, to the consumer."
