Experience heated dogfights and taxing quests in true-to-life underwater 3D adventure

LOS ANGELES-- (May 11, 2000) – Ubi Soft® Entertainment and Criterion Studios present Deep Fighter®, an underwater 3D action/adventure game releasing this fall for Sega Dreamcast™. Featuring fierce 3D dogfights, intense missions and rigorous exploration, Deep Fighter, is an exciting and aggressive undersea adventure.

With the approach of the upcoming tides of change promising to bring forth destruction of the underwater civilization, players must seek out a way to transport their civilization safely to another location. Along with the threat, deadly enemies are determined to undermine player’s efforts and deteriorate the present ecosystem that supports the aquatic races. It is up to the gamer to maintain the delicate balance, as each action will effect not only their civilization, but others as well.

Enter the fighting frenzy as fierce, underwater 3D dogfights come into play as players skillfully maneuver through rough terrain dodging incoming missiles and avoiding enemy capture. Preceding each adventure, players are given mission briefings and updates that offer gameplay guidance through these rough waters.

With a complex storyline and in depth gameplay, within realistic 3D underwater environments, Deep Fighter places gamers in the midst of an undersea world that reacts and evolves around them. As gamers progress through the game, its difficulty levels adapt to their skill levels and progression in the game. Players can explore their undersea domain teeming with marine life; the natural underwater environment and feel of movement will mesmerize them, as objects have a true-to-life buoyancy, mass and momentum.

Providing an abundance of natural cover, the environment includes various species of sea creatures and is filled with natural dangers, such as an abyss, deep caverns and treacherous trenches, that are realistically projected with overlapping shadows and light sources with coronas, that help create stunning realism to landscape formations. Real time lighting effects simulate day and night and in game sound immerses gamers into a full fare of ambient sounds that gives them the feeling of a complete undersea adventure.
