Digital Island Streams Sega Icon Ulala from the Star-Studded

MTV Video Music Awards in New York City

The hip-hopping Sega character Ulala will greet glitzy pop stars at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York. And you can watch it live over Digital Island's Footprint(TM) streaming media network at www.sega.net.

Continuing its momentum in the media and entertainment industry, Digital Island, Inc. (Nasdaq:ISLD) has been selected by Sega.com to host and stream eight live events to promote SegaNet, the world's first online console gaming network and ISP.

SegaNet (www.sega.net) will launch on September 7. That night at 10 p.m. EDT, game aficionados can log on to www.sega.net to watch Ulala, the dancing sensation from the hit Sega game "Space Channel 5(TM)," interviewing rock stars on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards at New York's Radio City Music Hall. The Webcast also features celebrity interviews and post-show party footage from the legendary Studio 54.
