Takenobu Mitsuyoshi (光吉 猛修) is a Japanese musician and Sega of Japan composer. He is well-known for producing some of Sega's most memorable soundtracks, and for personally acting as the vocalist and announcer on a number of critically-acclaimed releases for both arcades and consoles. Career
Takenobu Mitsuyoshi was born in Fukuoka, Japan on December 25, 1967. Enjoying video game music beforehand as well being very active in various music activities since junior high all the way to university, he became part of Sega's sound creation from 1990 onwards. After early composing on arcade titles for Sega AM2, what would become perhaps his career-defining moment at the company soon came in 1993, when he chose to add vocals to his work for Daytona USA to make the game's music stand out more.
Mitsuyoshi's credits subsequently varied from both further arcade releases (Sega Rally Championship) to console games (Burning Rangers), and talents increasingly versatile. His activities now range across composing, arranging, sound directing, making sound effects, providing bass, motion talent, voice acting (e.g. in-game announcements) and vocals. As one of the most senior employees of Sega, he together with Hiroshi Kawaguchi manages its sound team, as well as forming an integral part of the (H.) band.
