Fumitaka Shibata (柴田 文孝) started his career as a Recording Director and Coordinator for Saturn era titles and a Sound Director and Producer for Dreamcast era titles. He has also dealt with music licensing and has even been an Executive Producer (for Phantasy Star Universe).

Since 2004, Shibata has served as head of Wave Master music label following the departure of former head Yukifumi Makino.
