Dark Seed (ダークシード) is a 1992 PC adventure game ported to the Sega Saturn. It was followed by Dark Seed II.

The Saturn version of the game fails to take advantage of the wider colour palettes and otherwise superior graphical hardware of the system, instead looking almost identical to its earlier counterpart.

An article in Sonic the Comic from December 1994 suggests the Saturn version evolved from a Mega-CD prototype that was considered for a late 1995 release along with I Have no Mouth and I Must Scream and Hunters of the Ralk.
