The MZ-80B is a Japanese home computer released by Sharp in 1981. An upgrade, the MZ-2000 was released in 1982. The MZ-2200 released in 1983 which dropped the built-in monitor. This was followed in 1985 by the MZ-2500 which offered a significant increase in hardware capabilities whilst retaining backwards compatibility with the MZ-2000 and MZ-80B. Whilst the machines in this line are generally backwards compatible (except for the MZ-2520), they are not compatible with Sharp's MZ-80K line of computers.
