Ecco the Dolphin was a rumored Sega Saturn entry in the Ecco the Dolphin franchise.[1]

History

To help in launching the Saturn, Sega created a brief computer-generation promotional video featuring Ecco the Dolphin. Either through speculation or misinformation, this video was taken as proof of an upcoming Ecco game on the Saturn. According to series developer Ed Annunziata, no Ecco game was ever in development for either the Saturn or the 32X, and the promotional material was simply meant to promote the hardware.[1]
