UFO Colon (UFOコロン) is a prize-dispensing game released by Sega in 2007.
Although it is part of the popular UFO Catcher series, UFO Colon omits the grabbing "claw" mechanism typical of the series. Instead, prizes are held in racks of free-swinging "cradles", which are pushed and pulled by a mechanical arm that extends and retracts horizontally after being aimed by the player. Unlike traditional UFO Catchers, which are controlled by single-use directional buttons, UFO Colon has a joystick control that can be used repeatedly within the machine's time limit. UFO Colon's control panel is also set lower than other UFO Catcher models in an effort to make the machine more attractive to young children.
Sega Logistics Service announced it would end service on the machines on March 31, 2017.[2][3]
