From 1930 to 1933, he operated the Irving Bromberg Co. vending machine firm of Brooklyn, Boston and Washington, D.C. In 1934, Bromberg founded a business known as Standard Games Co. in Los Angeles. In 1945, he went on, along with his son Martin Bromberg and his son's friend James Humpert, to co-found Service Games.
