The Winter International Consumer Electronics Show 1991 (WCES 1991).
From a video game perspective, WCES 1991 put a greater emphasis on handheld technology, with a majority of Nintendo's floor space devoted to the Game Boy (neither the Super Famicom or SNES made an appearance, and NES space was limited), and a good chunk of Sega's devoted to the Game Gear, which was not yet for sale. Sega also let users play a variety of Sega Mega Drive games.
