Mean Machine’s ones about what I would expect though. Honestly a very fair review too. Also little bits of neat info to be gleaned from both these. The MegaTech review mentions the animations seldom crashing. Hm. + | :That's old video game magazines for you. A good number of them were painful to go through when I was adding all those review scores, from things like their target demographic, sense of humour, how opinionated they can be and some especially embarassing features, e.g. Sega Zone, Sega Power, PlayStation 2 Official Magazine, Nintendo Official Magazine UK, etc. --[[User:SorachiJirachi|SorachiJirachi]] ([[User talk:SorachiJirachi|talk]]) 17:42, 25 March 2021 (EDT) | ||
+ | ::Absolutely agreed. tbh I find the majority of these old review mags practically useless because of it. At best they were parroting the same (often incorrect) ideas, and at worst they ignored the review entirely because of X genre or Y content or Z audience. Just offensive. The retro game mags I prefer reading are usually “first-party” ones like Nintendo Power and Sega Visions etc, for the insight they provide into development and the company itself. And interviews.
