Sound test
On the title screen, press ++. The top option is for music, the middle is for sound effects and the bottom is for voice clips[1].
Soft reset apology
If a soft reset is performed during a quiz, and then the player attempts to start a new quiz, the announcer will apologise for a the previous break in transmission.
End of broadcast
If you wait for about 20 seconds after the show is finished, the "signal" will be lost, and the screen will switch to test colour bars (accompanied by a beep).
