In the first half of the Japanese Direct, it was titled Sega Direct and had the Nintendo Direct logo flip into the words Sega Direct while the logo flipped to be blue while the Sega Chant played. Satoru Iawata hosted the Direct alongside Sega's Toshihiro Nagoshi. It flipped back to the standard Nintendo Direct logo once the first half was over.
