The Product Development Team was Sega of America's first dedicated team of game producers, established to help the company's producers more closely participate in the development of Western-programmed Sega Genesis software.
History
In early 1992, Product Development Team's game development and production responsibilities were split off into Alpha Group and Omega Group to assist Sega of America's Clyde Grossman in managing his various producers.[3]. The team's audio capabilities were incorporated into the newly-established Sega Multimedia Studio in an attempt to refocus around the CD-ROM and the upcoming Sega CD.[1]
