Enter SMAILLIW ("Williams" backwards) as a password to open all the doors in the game. You will also not lose lives when killed.
Master System version

Enter HPKKEITH as a password to open all the doors in the game.
Game Gear version

Enter TRACY as a password to open all the doors in the game. "Tracy" is almost certainly a nod to Tracy Ullman, whose variety show in the late 1980s introduced The Simpsons as four-part shorts between ad breaks.
