Makoto Shimizu (清水 良) is a Japanese video game animator. He joined Overworks in 2002, where he worked on the rebooted Shinobi games for Sony PlayStation 2. He left Sega to work at Square Enix in 2004, creating battle animations for games like Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, Dissidia: Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance and Final Fantasy XV. He joined Luminous Productions in 2018 and served as lead battle animator for Forspoken.
