Virtuality was a British company specialized in location based VR (Virtual Reality) entertainment[1][2], founded in 1987[3], in Leicester, England, United Kingdom by British inventor Dr. Jonathan Waldern[4] who has pioneered[5] Virtual Reality since 1980.

As part of an extensive agreement with Sega, Virtuality assisted Sega AM3 in the development of the advanced Mega Visor Display headset, used in the VR-1 attraction at Sega theme park venues and the Dennou Senki Net Merc coin-operated arcade machine. In 1997, the company was acquired[6] by and merged with Retinal Displays Inc., a Silicon Valley based company specialized in the development of Personal Display technology. Currently Jonathan Waldern is the president of Digilens[5] (founded in 2003 by him in Sunnyvale, California).
