Exciting Boat Race (エキサイティングボートレース) is an arcade medal game based on Kyōtei, (競艇) a powerboat racing event which is one of four officially-recognized "Public Sports" on which betting is legal in Japan. Exciting Boat Race allows players to win medals by placing bets on miniature model powerboats which race around a pool of real water in the center of the table.

An updated version of the game called Boat Race Ocean Heats was released in 2001.

Sega Logistics Service announced it would end service on Exciting Boat Race machines on March 31, 2017.[3][4]
