Prince of Persia: Arabian Nights is the third entry in the Prince of Persia series, following Prince of Persia and Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame. Its original Microsoft Windows incarnation was titled Prince of Persia 3D. Arabian Nights was not released outside of North America.
Prince of Persia: Arabian Nights fixes numerous control issues and bugs seen in the PC original, which brought the series to 3D. However, the series would not see critical acclaim in the third dimension until the release of Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
