The game's origins are unknown, however a port exists for the SNES and there is a sequel, Pocket Monsters II. Graphics are stolen from a number of games, including Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure, Mr. Nutz, Quackshot starring Donald Duck and Monster World IV.
