F1 Circus MD (F1サーカスMD) is a Sega Mega Drive Formula One racing game developed by Khaos and published by Nihon Bussan. A port of the titular 1990 NEC PC Engine racing title F1 Circus, the game is the third entry in Nihon Bussan's F1 Circus series, and was released exclusively in Japan in December 1991.
The game was followed by the 1994 Sega Mega-CD sequel F1 Circus CD.
Contents
Gameplay
The game is a typical Formula 1 racing game. In World Championship mode, you are limited to a predefined course set, but you may choose your team, lap count, vehicle specifics, etc. Races are presented in a top-down view. accelerates, breaks, shifts down, shifts up, and opens a menu.
History
A United States release was once localized and planned under the title F1 Circus, but ultimately never materialized.
