K.O. Drive is an unreleased arcade racing game by Sega. The game was the second major original arcade title developed by Sega of China following Sega Golden Gun, assisted by Product R&D, Sega Amusements Europe, and existing racing game teams at Sega. Though varying prototype versions of the game appeared at DEAL 2012,[2] IAAPA 2012,[3] Amusement Expo 2013,[4], GTI Asia Taipei Expo 2013,[5] and EAS 2013 after missing a planned Summer 2013 release,[6] its full release appears to have been cancelled due to creative indecision.[7]
Despite seemingly not receiving a wide release (and possibly not even being fully completed), K.O. Drive's product page remained on Sega Amusements' website into the late 2010s,[8] and a small number of cabinets have since been spotted in Asian arcade locations and games rooms on the Harmony of the Seas,[9] and Liberty of the Seas.[10]
A prototype resembling the version last shown during 2013 was later dumped online. Textures for the game have been found in subsequent Sega of China title Transformers: Human Alliance.[11]
