I think I ran into this issue a few years ago - "Images" is short for "Images Design", who also created most home computer versions of Wonder Boy in Monster Land in addition to Shadow Dancer. This was before "Climax Studios" existed, so Images Design could be something they absorbed and took credit for.
Future spoilers: The 8-bit ports of WBiML credit Mediagenic (trading as Activision), Images Design (trading and Images) and "Software Studios" which is an unknown entity that... "did things". It's not confusing at all. -Black Squirrel (talk) 15:45, 26 August 2018 (CDT)
