Project EGG (プロジェクトEGG) is a storefront that sells emulated games provided by Bothtec and later D4 Enterprise for Windows PCs in Japan. It mainly focuses on Japanese PCs, but as the service grew up, games from consoles, Arcades and handheld systems were being sold as well.

Sega support

Since its foundation, no original Sega games (including backlogs from Technosoft, Sammy and Atlus) are featured in the service. However, Sega gives permission to their former third-parties to re-release "reprogrammed" games from them. In addition, Sega allows D4 Enterprise to re-release multiple entries of Puyo Puyo and Madou Monogatari games, including standalone spinoffs released on Disc Station disks.

On a side note, Sega sells Sega Mega Drive Classics on Steam for Japanese users. Several games from Project EGG were also featured as part of the Sega Game Honpo lineup as well.
