Hiroshi Kandou (貫洞 洋至) is a former 2D graphic designer at Sega of Japan. He began his career working for Vision Universe as a subcontractor for Konami and Capcom games. He first worked with Sega on Shenmue, through Thunderstone Japan, before becoming a freelancer who worked with Sega-AM2 on Shenmue II. Kandou joined as a full-time employee in 2002, debuting with the PS2 version of Virtua Fighter 4. After this game, he mainly worked on arcade games, until 2008 when he became involved with R&D2's PS3 and Xbox 360 arcade ports. In 2015 he moved to a division of Sega Games located in Roppongi, where he worked as lead effect designer on some mobile games[2].

Kandou's last work with Sega was Kyoutou Kotoba RPG Kotodaman, which transferred ownership to mixi, and Kandou transferred there as well in 2020.
