Disney's Aladdin (アラジン) is a Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear action platform game developed by SIMS and published by Sega. Based on the titular 1992 film Aladdin, it was first released in Europe in February 1994[9], and is most notable for both its relative faithfulness to its source material and its extensive use of vivid color palettes and advanced graphical effects.

    Gameplay

The game is split into nine stages, split into three types of gameplay. Stages 1, 2, and 8 are auto-scrolling stages where Aladdin continually runs forward, jumping over obstacles and pits. Stages 5 and 7 are flight stages, where Aladdin must fly the carpet while avoiding enemies, hazards, and getting caught against the walls.

The rest of the stages are platformer stages, where Aladdin must explore an area, collect keys to open locked gates, and avoid or defeat enemies by throwing rocks at them. Aladdin walks with Left or Right or dashes by pressing LeftLeft or RightRight. Aladdin can throw rocks with 1 and jump with 2. He also has several unique moves available to him in this mode, such as pulling himself up onto ledges (Up after jumping onto a ledge), sliding under low ceilings (1 while dashing), and tip-toeing through spiked floors to avoid damage (Down+2). He can descend stairs with Down-left or Down-right and ascend them with Up-left or Up-right. These stages play very similarly to Prince of Persia, but the puzzles are not as difficult.

Between each stage, subtitled cutscenes relate a simplified version of the film's script.
