Grind Stormer, called V-Five (ヴイ・ファイヴ) in Japan (and often erroneously as V-V), is a 1992 arcade shoot-'em-up developed by Toaplan. It was ported to the Sega Mega Drive in 1994 and released by Tengen exclusively in the US and Japan.

Gameplay is almost identical to Slap Fight MD: A and C shoot (with rapidfire) and B uses a special weapon chosen from a list on the right of the screen. Collecting powerup diamonds from enemies moves the cursor that chooses which special weapon is fired and the cursor will be moved back to Speed Up when a life is lost. Up and Down will not only move the player up and down, but will also move his subships: when the subships are packed with the main ship, shots will be stronger but are shot in a fixed column; when the subships are spread apart, shots will be weaker but spread around.
