Hiroyuki Ohtaka (大高 寛之) is a former producer and publicist at Sega. Having joined in 1987, he has been involved with hardware development for the Master System, Mega Drive, Mega CD, Teradrive, Game Gear, Sega Saturn, 32X and Dreamcast.[1] However, he is most often credited for his work with Sega PC, a division he managed.[2]
After leaving Sega, he became a development manager at Broccoli, where he was involved with licensed games based on Di Gi Carat, Galaxy Angel and the multi-media property Beyblade, as well as collaborating with Westone Bit Entertainment to publish Neon Genesis Evangelion: Ayanami Raising Project.[1]
He next started his own company Ohtaka, which deals with a variety of games such as the Otomedius series and Daisenryaku, as well the educational software TOEIC and Miyamoto Mathematics Classroom.[1] In his early years at Ohtaka, he was involved as producer of several games in the Sega Ages 2500 series.
