MDK 2 is the sequel to MDK, and was released (among other platforms) for the Sega Dreamcast in 2000, the Dreamcast version being the original development of the game.

    Gameplay

Like its predecessor it is a third person shooter, though this time, as well as allowing the user to play as Kurt Hectic from the first game, he/she can also play as Max, a mechanical six-legged dog and the scientist Doctor Fluke Hawkins. Each have their own distinctive gameplay styles.

    History

The original MDK was developed by Shiny Entertainment, but its sequel was created by Bioware

The name MDK is actually a meaningless codename, attached to the first game in conception and never replaced with a more appropriate name. Fans and the media have attempted to fill in the blanks, with the most popular being Murder Death Kill. The games frequently poke fun at this naming scheme.

MDK 2 is one of the few Dreamcast games to double up as a music CD, allowing the user to listen to the game's soundtrack.

The Dreamcast version of MDK 2 was originally set for release as a launch title in the US[6].
