Ma-Ba (γγΌγ) was a partnership formed by Mattel and Bandai in the mid-1980s to sell Barbie dolls in Japan after a falling-out between Mattel and Takara (Takara only released the Japanese version of Barbie with this parthership, then changed the name of the doll to Jenny after it ended).
The name was later used by Bandai to publish several games for the Sega Mega Drive in Japan; why the name was used is unknown. All their games (except Kidou Keisatsu Patlabor: 98-Shiki Kidou Seyo!) are ports of Bandai games.
In 1994, Bandai absorved Ma-Ba after the release of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon.
